What's Next, America? Youth Changes Is Hosting a Community Conversation

Youth Changes Team

Something important is happening on October 18, 2026 — and Youth Changes wants you to be there.

We're hosting What's Next, America? — a free, open community conversation about the issues that matter most to our youth, our neighborhoods, and our collective future. Whether you're a parent, educator, young person, community leader, or simply someone who cares about where we're headed, this event is for you.

What Is "What's Next, America?"

What's Next, America? is more than an event. It's a gathering of voices — a space where community members can come together to ask hard questions, share honest perspectives, and start building answers.

At Youth Changes, we believe that real change starts with real conversation. Too often, the people most affected by decisions about youth and opportunity are left out of the room where those decisions are made. This event is about changing that.

We're creating a space where everyone has a seat at the table — where your voice matters and your experience counts.

Why This Conversation Matters Now

Youth across America are navigating a world that looks very different from the one previous generations grew up in. Economic uncertainty, shifting job markets, gaps in education and opportunity, and the weight of community challenges — these aren't abstract policy issues. They're the daily reality for millions of young people.

At the same time, there's incredible energy, creativity, and resilience in our communities. Youth Changes has seen it firsthand through our programs in Nashville, Memphis, Cheatham County, and Hawaii. Young people are ready to lead — they just need the right support, resources, and opportunities.

What's Next, America? is a chance to talk about how we provide that.

What to Expect at the Event

This isn't a lecture or a panel where a few experts talk at a crowd. It's a conversation — structured, facilitated, and designed to bring out the best thinking from everyone in the room.

The event is hosted by Youth Changes in partnership with Wilson Davis Consulting and made possible by a Spark Grant. We're grateful for the support that makes community-centered work like this possible.

Who Should Come

The short answer: everyone. If you care about youth, community, or the future of America — this event is for you. We especially encourage young people, parents and families, educators and mentors, community leaders and organizers, and anyone who believes that better futures are built together.

This event is free and open to the public. No ticket required — just show up ready to engage.
